However, Finntroll has come out with a mobile app.
Now if you're like me, you probably groaned/rolled your eyes/spat up in your mouth a little when you read that sentence. An app? Really? Why? Does EVERYONE have to jump on that fucking bandwagon? What could possibly be so interesting/compelling that I'd need a goddamn app on my phone for it?
Well. I gotta say, the app is pretty cool. There's a lot of neat stuff in there already (videos, tour info, the stuff you'd expect to see) but there are some other cool things in there as well...I don't want to spoil the surprise because part of the coolness of the app is browsing it; they took the time to actually have it designed and it is actually kind of elegant. Also, they have said that there will be stuff posted to the app that won't be available anywhere else.
Oh, and it's fucking free, my favourite price of all.
So kudos to Finntroll for taking available tech and making something cool for their fans without it being crappy sellout junk for money. I SALUTE YOU, FOOLISH WARRIORS.
